Dodenhuisje

For an installation in and around the historic mortuary chapel beside the church of Langdorp, Toon composed a polyphonic vocal piece in Latin. The text was written by Reineke, while singer Sophie Janna gave the composition a beautiful vocal interpretation.

This project reflects Toon's growing fascination with vocal music and polyphony, an artistic direction he continues to explore.

Wannes Raps

In a series of intimate churches across the Merode region—the birthplace of Wannes—storyteller Reineke Van Hooreweghe and fourteen musicians brought the legendary character of Wannes Raps back to life.

Toon composed the music and coached the ensemble together with Jolien Wils, creating a performance in which storytelling and live music merged into a vivid tribute to local heritage.
