Hot Griselda

In the autumn of 2007, the musical paths of Toon Van Mierlo and uilleann piper Stijn van Beek crossed at a Naragonia concert in Nijmegen. Stijn had come there to take a break from Irish traditional music, but he was soon welcomed once again by the sound of the Irish pipes – this time played by Toon. This remarkable encounter marked the beginning of an inspiring collaboration. Together with the virtuoso string players Kaspar Laval and Jeroen Geerinck, Hot Griselda was soon born.

Since its formation, Hot Griselda has earned a distinctive place on the European folk scene. he combination of tradition, musical craftsmanship, and the sheer joy of playing makes Hot Griselda a unique experience, both on the concert stage and on the dance floor.
